Volunteers

Volunteers at Heart of Georgia Hospice, Inc. and the Heart of Georgia Hospice In-Patient Care have always played an essential role in the "special kind of caring" which is provided to the dying. Men and women of all ages, backgrounds and talents bring the ability to love, and the commitment to care, to hospice patients and their families. After training, volunteers help with a multitude of services including...

  • visiting with patients and family members
  • providing a break to caregivers
  • escorting patients to appointments
  • running errands
  • bereavement support

Volunteers also help in our office and community opportunities such as

  • clerical assistance
  • public relations
  • fund raising
  • special projects
  • pick up and deliver equipment
