" My Story"

“My Story” is a unique program that captures the life story of terminally-ill patients, on digital audio, as told by the patients themselves.

This program, presented at no-cost by Heart of Georgia Hospice, is intended to provide our hospice patients’ families with a treasure that can be handed down from generation to generation. Stories about their childhood, school days, their marriage, having children, their career, their spiritual walk, and the list goes on…It’s their story…

Imagine the legacy of having your children and grandchildren being able to hear your mother, father or grandparent tell about their life in their own words…Could you own a greater treasure?

The goal of this program is to provide the hospice patient with the ability to “tell their story” and to communicate what they would like for their grandchildren to know about them. It’s also for the family to learn more about their loved one before the time may come where they can no longer effectively recollect or tell their story.

The art of story-telling from generation-to-generation has become a rarity in this country to say the least. The “My Story” program aids in keeping this art alive and to bring to life the story of the ones we hold so dear in our hearts.
