Place: Camp Echeconnee, Lizella, GA

Heart of Georgia Hospice Inc. is proud to be offering a bereavement camp for children ages 6-16 who have lost a loved one. This camp is designed to help children understand that they are not alone, and that their feelings of grief and loss are normal, with the help of a safe and supportive environment in which to express their feelings.

Children will participate in many fun camp activities including outdoor sports, inflatables, arts and crafts, music and singing, a Camp Fire and group sharing. Campers will create projects that will help them remember their loved ones in a special way.

At Sunday's closing, parents are invited to participate in a celebration service with their children. This will be an excellent opportunity for parents and children to remember their loved ones together in a special way.

Camp Wings is fully funded by Heart of Georgia Hospice Inc. and donations from the community. The camp is open to anyone at no cost except a $10.00 registration fee. If you know a child that could benefit from Camp Wings, or if you would like to donate, please call our hospice office.
